Fundraising (also known as crowdfunding) is collecting money (or other resources) by requesting donations from a large number of people or businesses, typically via the Internet. A person or an organization creates a fundraiser and shares it with family, friends, and fans through social media like Facebook and Twitter. People start visiting the fundraiser and kaboom! the fundraiser starts getting donations from all around the world which is transferred to the fundraiser bank or PayPal account.
1 Create
We highly recommend that you sit down and spend some time planning your fundraiser before creating it. When you feel ready, proceed to create your fundraiser from scratch or use our Genius Wizard to generate a draft of the fundraiser with texts and photos.
The essential element of the fundraising success is sharing. Once your fundraiser is approved and published, you can share it. Simply visit your fundraiser's page and press the Share button at the bottom of your screen.
3 Collect
Once you share your fundraiser, be prepared to receive (hopefully, a lot of) donations. You need to keep your fundraiser alive and up-to-date to keep the donations coming. Otherwise, your followers and potential sponsors will lose interest.
4 Withdraw
You can withdraw your collected donations as soon as your fundraiser has ended. On SPONSOR.ME, you will receive all the money you have raised regardless of whether your fundraiser has reached the goal or not.
